Terms & Conditions
All arrangements made between ourselves (the Owners) and you (the Client) are subject to the following conditions:-
As owners, we are authorised to offer this self-catering property for rental and can indicate if the property is available between certain dates, however as we are sure you will understand we can only confirm a booking upon receipt of the deposit and signed the booking form. A contract will exist only from the time we issue our confirmation of your booking. The accommodation booking is only for the clients named or numbered on the booking form.
The balance is due for payment 8 weeks before the date of departure. A reminder will be sent prior to the due date, but cannot guarantee receipt, it is the responsibility of the party leader to ensure that the final payment is made by the due date. If payment is not received on time, we will endeavour to contact the party leader to confirm that the payment will be sent without further delay, however, if payment is still not forthcoming or it is indicated that payment will not be forthcoming, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
For bookings within 8 weeks of departure, you are required to send full payment and signed booking form immediately, the booking would then be subject to written confirmation. The same booking conditions apply. Bookings made less than 6 months before arrival will be charged 50% deposit on booking and 50% 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security/breakage deposit of £300/£500 for events is required from all rental groups. This is payable with the balance 8 weeks prior to booking by bank transfer. This will be returned within 14 days after the end date of the booking by bank transfer.
All prices quoted are based on 14 beds. The villa can accommodate up to 20 people. The extra cost per additional bed per week is £80. There is no charge for travel cots. The cost to heat the swimming pool is £250 per week. This is payable with the balance of the hire cost 8 weeks prior to booking.
We offer a variety of additional services to enhance your stay. These can be quoted for on request at time of booking.
We do have disabled access via bedroom 5. The villa is situated on one floor with the exception of the TV lounge, laundry room and gym. There is one step to get onto the front terrace. Some of the door entries and shower access are tight so before booking please contact us with the measurement of the wheelchair so that we can advise on accessibility.
Check-in time is 16.00 and Check-out at 10.00. We are happy to make arrangements to look after luggage when necessary. House Manager will advise if this is possible.
All baggage, money and personal possessions and your own health and safety remain at all times and in all circumstances at The Client’s risk. Any items of value, health and medical insurance and holiday injury protection should be protected by the suitable insurance cover.
We are unable to accept responsibility for any inconvenience caused by the failure of local services for any length of time such as electricity, water supply, broadband internet, and television (analogue or satellite).
THE VILLA: RULES & REQUESTS
Noise & Music
We are happy for you to play music in the reception room and pool terrace until the early hours but ask that all music on the front terrace stops but midnight as this disturbs the neighbours!
Please note that the swimming pool is an integral part of the house so special care will be needed when looking after small children. No diving is permitted in the swimming pool for the safety of all guests.
in the interest of safety, we ask guests to use plastic glasses around the pool area.
La Roca Rara is a self-catering villa and guests are responsible for disposing of their own rubbish while staying at the villa. All rubbish is collected from communal areas and our nearest communal bins are at the the bottom of the hill just past Hotel Rural Almazara on the left. On check out please ensure you remove all rubbish and put any dishes and glassware in the dishwasher. Please turn it on before you leave. We ask that you leave the villa as you found it as any excessive cleaning required will be chargeable along with any costs for rubbish removal.
We are following WHO advice on cleaning and sanitising. We will be using anti-viral cleaning products as recommended and cleaning all fixtures and fittings. We have removed soft furnishings such as rugs and scatter cushions as required. Our cleaners will be provided with PPE to clean the villa. We will supply hand sanitiser for guests on arrival. On check-in we ask for the party to remain in the outside areas whilst our staff show the ‘lead’ guest around.
Cancellation Policy for 2021 bookings
We know that this is an uncertain time and sympathise with clients concerns about booking for 2021. We can offer a refund of deposit for all bookings made after 1st October 2020 if cancellation is made up until 6 months before the date of the booking. If a cancellation is made after this time we will offer a refund of your deposit IF we are able to re-sell the week booked to other clients. If cancellation is made from 6 months until 8 weeks before the date of the booking the charge will be deposit only.
Full payment will be required 8 weeks before departure and any cancellation after this will not be refunded. In the event that the FCO advise against all but essential travel to Malaga due to Covid-19 an amendment to your reservation can be requested. We will require written confirmation from your travel insurance company that they will not reimburse your stay.
EVENTS AT LA ROCA RARA:
We define an event as any gathering for over 30 people. We require notice for any such event and the following Terms and Conditions apply. All events are subject to a surcharge. Maximum capacity for Events is 80 people. All event plans are discussed and agreed with the on-site House Manager. Any event over 30 people will require plastic glasses by the pool area.
At all times, in the interest of safety, we ask guests to use plastic glasses around the pool area. Fireworks/lanterns are prohibited due to risk of fire. Candles (excluding battery operated ones) cannot be used around the swimming pool due to the plastic lining and damage they cause).
Use of villa facilities by any contracted services eg; bar, DJ/band, Caterers etc requires liaison with our house manager. We expect any contracted services to leave our facilities as they find them. The House Manager reserves the right to attend your event in an official capacity to oversee and maintain villa facilities as necessary. This is dependent upon guest numbers and services contracted.
Non-resident guests are expected to leave the premises once the event has finished. Please note that the villa is for use for the guests listed on the booking form only with the exception of event days specified. Our cleaning team will be utilised for a clear and clean of all social areas in the morning after the event to return the social areas of the villa back to a fit state.
